Greetings from Dover-Foxcroft, Maine, the Shiretown of Piscataquis County. 

We would like to introduce ourselves to you. We are Neil and Patsy Mallett, owners of the Mallett Real Estate Agency. We have been doing business locally for over forty years and are both from the Dover-Foxcroft area. We have lived here all of our lives so we feel that we can give you good first-hand information about the area.

Dover-Foxcroft is a wonderful place to live and bring up a family or apeaceful spot for a retirement home. A small town of about 4500 people, we are nestled in the hills approximately thirty-eight miles from Bangor (and Bangor International Airport), one hundred thirty-five miles from Portland and about a two-hour drive from Bar Harbor, Maine.
Tree shaded streets, stately turn-of-the-century homes, churches, and beautiful Piscataquis River all make this community unique. We have one of the best school systems in the state, a modern community hospital with a capable, caring staff, a modern YMCA, and glorious Sebec Lake , one of the most pristine lakes in New England, only five miles from downtown. The town is a primarily residential and commercial community with its own police department, a fire department, several churches and service organizations.
